Hi! Welcome to Same DiNamics Crochet!
First off, my name is Dianne, simple name, and I am a SAHM mom of 3 boys, and I’m a wife to a loving and supportive husband.
Well, what can I say about Same DiNamics Crochet. Hmm… Same DiNamics Crochet is my baby. It’s my attempt at something new, fun, and exciting for me. It’s a salve to my soul when I need it. It’s a hobby turned flourishing business. Wait, let me back track a bit to the name Same DiNamics because it’s very important to me.
Same DiNamics came about when I turned 35 years old. I was at a pinnacle point in my life. I needed a sense of value and accomplishment. I needed something I could call my very own. It was at this point that I decided to start a personal blog where I would reflect on my life and where it was going. I eventually started doing book reviews, which I still do. I’m an avid reader so imagine how I find the time to read in addition to being a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and lover of life. I wanted my blog name to reflect me, how my life was (and still is) evolving but still remaining true to myself. That’s how I came up with Same DiNamics.
Okay, back to Same DiNamics Crochet… once I started feeling accomplished in life, my very good friend Leshia of Keep You In Stitches Designs, re-introduced me to crocheting. I’ve always known the basics of crocheting seeing that I grew up watching my mom crochet, and also sew. I would practice every now and then as a child but nothing ever came out of it until just a few years ago. Along with Leshia, I picked up my hook (and bought several more), some yarn and started crocheting. For some reason, everything clicked; it was as if I was crocheting my entire life. The yarn flowed freely through my fingers as my hands nimbly worked stitch after stitch creating beautiful and soft pieces.
Through the urging of family and friends, I started selling my work. I started slowly and with simple pieces; but, as I grew more confident in the value and worth of my work I started selling more intricate pieces and at a steadier rate. Eventually, I’d like to add sewing to my forte but that’s going to take some time. I do sew but not on any professional level. But, as with anything in life it will take practice and lots of patience.
While Same DiNamics Crochet is not a fast growing business, it’s a humble one, slow and steady one. I’m still amazed at folks seeing the value in my work, and extremely blessed when I’m asked to make someone a unique and custom piece made just for them.
Welcome to Same DiNamics Crochet… it is a part of me, it is me, and will continue to be me.
