CoSchedule Editorial Calendar and Social Media Scheduler Review
What most of you don’t know is that in addition to blogging about crochet and designing crochet patterns, I also am a Virtual Assistant (VA) to two incredible and successful crochet bloggers/designers, Cre8tion Crochet and ELK Studio Handcrafted Crochet Designs. I consider both these amazing designers and bloggers my mentors and friends, and I’m lucky to work for both of them.
Part of my VA work for ELK Studio, is scheduling some social media shares and how I achieve that is by using CoSchedule as the tool for scheduling social media shares.

What is CoSchedule?
In a nutshell, CoSchedule is an editorial calendar and social media sharing scheduler; it’s a wonderful marketing calendar. CoSchedule allows you to schedule, in advance, shares to your different social media sites giving you the freedom to focus on creating content on your site, or focus on what drives your business.
You can connect as many social media profiles as your plan allows, optimizing your reach and increasing your following.
With CoSchedule, you can also plan your marketing calendar and content with your team, all in one place. This allows you to have all of your information organized.

How to use CoSchedule?
I mainly use CoSchedule in two ways: 1. To schedule shares to one social media account; and 2. To schedule blog posts to one social media account. This makes sharing and scheduling super easy, and gives you the peace of mind of know that once your blog post goes live, it’s already scheduled to be shared in your linked social media profiles.
You can also rearrange your calendar for maximum sharing optimization by using their drag and drop feature, which is remarkably easy to do. If you have double scheduled a post and want to maximize reach and page views, just simple drag it and move it to a preferred date.
You can create campaigns, events, and even have create tasks for your team to follow up on. It’s virtually an amazing organization tool to use. You can even color code your content to stay organized.
If you use WordPress as your blogging platform, you can link CoSchedule to your WordPress and immediately schedule your blog post once you have finalized it. You can schedule your post for immediate sharing once it goes live, you can stagger the shares to within hours or days of each other. CoSchedule gives you the freedom to schedule your posts to be fits your needs.
CoSchedule has also rolled out an amazing feature, which makes sharing your most popular content easier, called ReQueue. With ReQueue, you can tell a specific post to autopost/schedule every few weeks. This is a great tool to use if you are working on a specific, time sensitive campaign. It’s also a great tool to use if you have amazing seasonal content that you know is popular during special holiday seasons. You can even integrate your favorite tools, such as Evernote and Google docs.
What Else about CoSchedule?
One of the things that I’ve learned about scheduling, is that consistency is key, absolute key, to increasing reach and page views to your social media profiles and site. No matter which social media scheduler you use, if you don’t work it, it won’t work for you. CoSchedule makes scheduling shares and your blog posts incredibly easy.
CoSchedule does have different subscription plans available, and I found that the basic plan is all I’d need. One of the great things about CoSchedule is that they do offer a 14 day free trial for you to use to see if this is the right fit for you.
After using CoSchedule as part of my VA work, and seeing that it does work and how easy it is to use, I will taking advantage of their offer and using CoSchedule for myself.
