Crochet Tools I Use

December 7, 2015 By Same DiNamics Crochet Leave a Comment

I want to share with you some of the crochet tools I use during all my crochet projects. Each piece is important, as important as the yarn.  I will share of pics of what my tools look like, as well as links to Amazon where you can find these tools I use.

I always have these tools available to me when I start a new project. They are so vital to ensuring that my project is completed well.

1. Clover Lock Ring Markers

These have been the best stitch markers I’ve found. I’ve used other brands, or other trinkets such as yarn and other miscellaneous items but they haven’t worked as well for me as the Clover brand has.  I have two packs of these and keep them handy when crocheting.

2. Lion Brand Yarn Large Eye Blunt Needle

I have several of these, including my favorite that I use all the time. When I started crocheting, I used plastic ones but I didn’t like them. Then I found these metal ones and have used them ever since.

3. Singer Sewing Gauge 6″

I have had my sewing gauge for as long as I can remember. I dabble in sewing a little bit, and have use it all the time. In fact, I have 2 of them. I actually prefer to use this over a measuring tape when checking my gauge. I find that it sits just right on my project for easy and more accurate gauge measurement.

4. Clover Amour Crocher Hook Set

When I started crocheting I used Susan Bates, and still do on occasion. However, I recently decided to give Clover Amour hooks a chance. I bought one size and from there my collection has grown. I don’t have a full set, yet, but I’m sure I’ll get it all eventually.

5. Singer 60″ Tape Measure

This is another piece that I’ve had for a long time now. I have several measuring tapes that I keep on hand for measuring the length of a project.

6. 5 Pieces Scissors Combo

This set was gifted to me. I use the smallest scissor, the craft one, for cutting my yarn. It’s small and fits perfectly in my crochet tote. As with my fabric scissors, these are only for yarn. My family knows not to use my crochet scissors for anything else. They have been warned.

These are all the must have tools that I use when crocheting. They are always handy and in my crochet tote for a quick and easy grab when I need them. I wonder which items you use as your must have tools. Share with me.

As always, much love and happy hooking!

Dianne
